Welfare

Here at the Bradford on Avon Swimming Club we ensure that our swimmers come first. It is essential that we operate in a safe and secure environment for swimmers to train and compete. With a responsible committee, fully trained and qualified coaches and safeguarding and protecting club members, the Bradford on Avon Swimming Club is a fun and friendly environment for everyone involved.

Responsibilities of the BoA committee

Bradford on Avon ASC is run by a committee whose legal responsibility is to make sure that the club has effective welfare and safeguarding policies and procedures in place and that it monitors and complies with them. Policies are available to parents and swimmers if requested. It is also the responsibility of the committee to ensure that all staff and volunteers are DBS checked to ensure they are safe to work within the club. The committee ensures that the club has effective procedures for handling allegations of abuse.
